Check out the open positions or show up to our weekly meetings during the academic year (and biweekly meetings during the summer) on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 PM (with free dinner provided!) in the Graduate Community Center Nairobi Room. ANNOUNCING THE WINTER MASQUERADE BALL!
Date/Time: January 23rd from 10PM to 2AM
Location: Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center

The Winter Masquerade Ball is open to all graduate students and ticket price ($20) includes an open bar, finger food, and event entrance. Come mingle with your peers in an evening of classy debauchery. Black Tie Formal Dress required, Masks preferred.

Last Meeting of Fall Quarter December 2

The last GSC meeting of fall quarter will be on Wednesday, December 2, 6:00-8:00pm (food at 5:45pm) in the GCC Nairobi Room. GSC meetings will resume during winter quarter on Wednesday, January 6, 2010.
 
12th ANNUAL GSC THANKSGIVING DINNER

***12th Annual Stanford GSC Thanksgiving Dinner***
 
What:  Traditional American Thanksgiving dinner for Stanford graduate students and their families
Date:  Thursday November 26, 2009.
Time:  You will be assigned a seating time (12:00, 1:30, 3:00, or 4:30).
Where: Check in at Ray's in the Graduate Community Center.
 
Thanks to the generous support of President Hennessy, and additional funds from the Graduate Student Council, we are pleased to announce the 12th annual Thanksgiving Dinner celebration on Thursday, November 26, 2009, catered by the Coho.  Turkey, gravy, and all the traditional side dishes will be served, as well as a sumptuous vegetarian option (a really outstanding spinach lasagna).
We have room for 1500 people this year.  Registration will open on Thursday, November 12, and close when all the slots are full (or Friday November 20, whichever comes first).  More details will be provided on the website and in the registration form.  Go to http://thanksgiving.stanford.edu for registration details.
 
New GCC Pub Open! Come to Ray's!

After three and a half long dry months, there is a pub in the Graduate Community Center!  Ray's officially opened on Monday, October 19, at 8:00am.  The menu is extensive, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable, especially for beer (premium beer: $3 pint, $10.95 pitcher!  Really!). Hours: Daily 8:30am-Midnight.
