Spam-Proof E-mail Addresses

Every day, people use computer programs called spiders to crawl the Internet and extract e-mail addresses from web pages in order to send you junk e-mail. We protect e-mail addresses on our web site from spiders! Instead of listing a person's full email address (johndoe@stanford.edu), we only list their Stanford User ID (johndoe). We leave it up to you to add the @stanford.edu. It's simple. Look below for instructions on deciphering the address.

What did the link you clicked on look like?

Link you clicked on:

This person's e-mail address:

johndoe johndoe@stanford.edu
johndoe@subdomain johndoe@subdomain.stanford.edu

Now your message will reach John, and spammers won't find out John's address -- at least, not from us.
