CHAIR

It's the duty of the Chair to lead the GSC. Specifically, this officer should:

  • Set the agendas for and preside over GSC meetings
  • Serve as the primary advocate and promoter of the GSC
  • Represent the GSC on the ASSU Executive Committee
  • Represent (or delegates the representation of) the GSC in all contacts with the University administration and other organizations, both internal and external to the University
  • Coordinate the activities of the GSC members
  • Set a positive example for and motivate other members
  • Maintain cohesion and manage conflict
  • Be highly organized
  • Respond to e-mails and phone calls from your constituents
  • Hold secondary signing authority over the GSC accounts
