CHAIR

It's the duty of the Chair to lead the GSC. Specifically, this officer should:

Set the agendas for and preside over GSC meetings
Serve as the primary advocate and promoter of the GSC
Represent the GSC on the ASSU Executive Committee
Represent (or delegates the representation of) the GSC in all contacts with the University administration and other organizations, both internal and external to the University
Coordinate the activities of the GSC members
Set a positive example for and motivate other members
Maintain cohesion and manage conflict
Be highly organized
Respond to e-mails and phone calls from your constituents
Hold secondary signing authority over the GSC accounts

The GSC is a member of the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students.
