ANNUAL GSC EVENTS

Grad Night at FLiCKS Each quarter, the GSC sponsors "Grad Student Night at FLiCKS. As a grad, come see a recent movie for free and enjoy refreshments provided by the GSC!

Not going home for Thanksgiving? You can still enjoy a full Thanksgiving dinner -- free! -- thanks to the GSC.

4th of July Barbeque The biggest barbeque bash of the summer is July 4th and it's put on by the GSC! Grad students and their friends and family members are welcome. Come enjoy fresh grilled food, cold beer and non-alcoholic beverages, good music, sports, and more -- free! Veggie meals are, of course, available. No registration or RSVP is required.

The International Gala is held each spring and is sponsored by the GSC along with dozens of other campus organizations. At the I-Gala you'll be dazzled by the number and diversity of cultural activities and performances, and by all the delicious food from around the world that you can try! Free for graduate students.

Each spring, the GSC co-sponsors the EV Family Carnival, an event full of fun things to do for kids of all ages. While the activities vary each year, you might expect to see clowns, magicians, face painting, a petting zoo, ball cages, and live music! Oh yeah; there's also tons of great food -- all free to grads and their friends and family.

Feeling cooped up on campus? The Stanford Redwood Outdoor Club (co-sponsored by the GSC) organizes a slew of outings for the nature buff. They also provides inexpensive climbing and backpacking gear for graduate students who want to plan their own outing. Learn more on the Redwood Outdoor Club web site.

The GSC is a member of the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students.
