It's almost here, the annual GSC Fourth of July Barbeque! The Graduate Student Council and the Graduate Student Programming Board are co-sponsoring this FREE event for graduate students. Hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, and beverages will be served. So come have FUN in the sun and play some games, or just relax and celebrate the Fourth of July eating FREE food with your fellow graduate students. Time and Location: Friday July 4th, 1-4 p.m. in Willis Court, Rains Houses ** Interested in volunteering your grilling skills at the barbeque? We could use some help the day of the event tending the grills and keeping the tables of food stocked so the lines will move quickly. If you're willing to help out for an hour or more, please email Alice Lincoln at . ----------------------------------------------------------------------- San Francisco Pride Parade Please join the Stanford Pride contingent at this year's San Francisco Pride parade. This year's theme is "You've Gotta Give Them Hope," honoring the legacy and memory of Harvey Milk. Tales of the City author Armistead Maupin and actor and comedian Marga Gomez are the celebrity grand marshals. Stanford Pride's very own Carolyn Laub (BA '95, founder and Executive Director of the Gay-Straight Alliance Network) is an honorary marshal. When: Sunday, June 29th at 10:00 am Where: Market and Beale, look for the sea of Cardinal Red The Stanford Band will be present to entertain us. Please bring water, comfortable shoes and sunscreen.
