GHAC has an interest in ensuring that the graduate students are provided with the best possible residential experience. In the recent past GHAC members have been working with the university officials to institute a continuous housing assignment system. This would mean that students will not have to face a lottery every year. These are very important potential changes that will have long standing benefits for graduate students at Stanford. The past GHACs have made some impressive gains in negotiations, and a concentrated and continued effort from the new student representatives on GHAC is essential to further these proposals. Student representatives will also bring-up other important housing issues with university officials from time to time. GHAC should be composed of at least 5 members, coming from different housing backgrounds, including: single living in Escondido Village family living in Escondido Village single living in Rains single living in Crothers Memorial off-campus living Time commitment: 3 hours, every 2 weeks.
