Grad Night in San Francisco The Mission Buy Tickets Here! http://egroups.stanford.edu/GSCTMBusSpr08 Saturday, June 14 - Sponsored by the GSC. $5 gets you a round trip bus ticket to and from San Francisco -- really, you can't get there for cheaper, and what else are you going to do with that Lincoln? Buses will run from Stanford to San Francisco at 6:30 and 9:00 PM, and leave the city at 11:30 PM and 2:00 AM, after closing time. The bus will leave Stanford and make stops at the Civic Center and in the Mission neighborhood at Mission Street and 21st. Catch an early bus so you'll have time to enjoy the varied culinary delights of the Mission or downtown (debark at Civic Center), before hitting the town in the evening, or take the later bus straight to the bars and nightlife in the Mission The bus will leave from the corner of Campus Drive and Escondido Road (just down the street from the GCC). Suggestions: At the Civic Center, catch a show, get dinner or take the Bart or Muni elsewhere around the city (or just one stop to the Powell Street SF Mall). In the Mission, eat at one of the many delicious taquerias, try to grab a table at Bissap Baobab (at Mission and 19th) or dine on the rooftop of Medjool (Mission and 21st, we may arrange drink specials). Then stay at Medjool for dancing, or wander to Elbo Room (Valencia and 18th) and elbow your way in. Make the trek to Zeitgeist (at Valencia and Dubocce/13th) for outside "beer garden" atmosphere. |
