ii. Please send Maria any articles you would like included in the Welcome Bulletin that is included in new students' move-in packets in the Fall by Aug. 15th.

4. 6:10 NAGPS 2006 National Conference (Paul)
- Annual conference at University of Washington in Seattle on November 16-19
- Information about conference presentations, accommodations and
registration will be forth coming from NAGPS (National Association of
Graduate and Professional Schools).
- Cost: TBD
- Should GSC attend? If so, how many members? And who wants to go?

Minutes from July 5th passed by consensus.

Discussion of Welcome Bulletin
Maria: Need to include the "Rules of the pub"
Matt: If we want to recruit new people, make sure to put it
right up front, so people notice it..

Adam: New Sound equipment is working, just need to wait for mic and
speaker stands, then we can start lending it out.

3. NAGPS 2006 National Conference
Paul: The deadline for submitting a paper is October. No
details on registration costs/information.
Consensus: Wait until more information is available, especially cost.

4. Funding
Science Bus.
Paul San Giorgio: Science bus allows grad students to work with
school-age students in East Palo Alto and encourage their interest in
Science.
Asking for $1975, FC recommends $1975, $1975 passed by consensus.

Stanford Indian Association - Independence Day celebration
Archan Padmanabhan: 80-100 people expected for recreation of
Prime Minister's speech, inspirational speech, and food.
Asking for $500, FC recommends $430, $430 passed by consensus.

5. New business
Donna: We need to start thinking about GOALIE soon, including
ordering some new giveaways.
