The Graduate Student Council (GSC) Diversity Advocacy Committee (DAC) is proud to present Graduate Student Diversity Month, April 1-30. Join us for a month of exciting events to share personal stories, explore identities, start conversations, and develop skills to promote and respect diversity. Historically, Diversity Week was the flagship event of the DAC. We revived the tradition in 2016, and brought together graduate students from across the Stanford campus to discover, discuss and debate topics of interest surrounding diversity issues and concepts. Our events include panel discussions, experiential hands-on workshops, and free-form discussions. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and secured funding support from the Graduate Student Council and Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Education to do this again!
In 2017, we are expanding our array of events and establishing strong connections with diversity student groups to create Diversity Month. We hope you will join us in these wonderful events. We appreciate RSVPs (links below) to help with planning. To be connected with the DAC without becoming active members, please join our “friends of the DAC” mailing list!
We have a dazzling array of events organized by DAC members, funded by the DAC Mini Grants, and planned by our affiliate and ally organizations. We are populating the calendar below throughout April. Please add this Google Calendar to your calendar to keep an eye on all of the exciting events.
