Why take on a position on the GSC?
- You want to practice your communication, negotiation, and management skills.
- You think your stipend is too low, you are paying too much for parking or public transportation, or you have some great ideas for improving student housing.
- You want to be involved in deciding how your student activity fees are spent.
- You are passionate about improving grad life at Stanford.
- You love organizing parties with and for your fellow grad students.
- You want to know more about how the university works and get to know some of the administrators.
- You want to meet other grad students from around the university.

Chair the committee that works on grad students concerns regarding parking and transportation (e.g., Marguerite routes and schedules, parking availability, access to public transportation).

Funding:
- Funding Committee Members
Assist the Funding Committee Chair and Deputy Chair with checking VSOs' budgets and making funding recommendations, serving as a liaison to VSOs, collecting feedback, updating funding policies, working with special fees groups, etc.
